It was all day fun as the Descendants of Delesolu gathered at their Compound in Oje. The venue was buzzing as early as 10am with many of the sons and daughters in the same uniform ( Aso ebi). The Bee was not left out in the pageantry of the day.
The family History and specific anecdotes were recounted and the Oriki was recited. We all had fun and rocked the Igbejo ( venue of the event).
I learnt a lot about my heritage, met long lost cousins including members of the Razak Okoya Dynasty who were said to have left Delesolu compound to settle in Lagos.
Others were relatives from Cotonou, Porto Novo in the Benin Republic and Niger Republic.
I spoke passionately from the heart, urging Omo Olas to embrace togetherness, love and charity. We need to support one another and employ community self help as a catalyst for development.
I am so proud of my younger Delesolu siblings charged with the duties of organising the event. That project was well executed. It clearly shows that Excellence runs in our veins. We are set for greater heights. We shall forge ahead and achieve greater heights. The sky is the limit. Oluwa a ran wa lowo ooo🙏🏽 🐝
